This Saturday and Sunday to be Final Open Days for GHF's Green Revival Show House
Galveston Historical Foundation’s Green Revival Showhouse will be open to the public for one final weekendthis Saturday, November 27, and Sunday, November 28, from noon to four, free of charge.

Located at 3101 Avenue Q in Galveston's Kempner Park neighborhood, the 1000-square-foot house was severely damaged by Hurricane Ike in 2008 and saved from demolition by GHFan organization that has saved hundreds of Galveston's historic homes over the decades. Seeing a timely opportunity to show environmentally minded homeowners how to undertake a green restoration, GHF embarked on a project whose goal was to produce the first showhouse in the country that would demonstrate how a historic home can be retrofitted for peak environmental performance without losing its historic integrity.
