The International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) paid tribute to numerous Galveston Historical Foundation projects on October 3rd, 2011 during the IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards Ceremony held at the IFEA’s 56th Annual Convention & Expo in Fort Worth, Texas

Awards were won in the following categories:
- Gold, Best Sponsor Solicitation Package, 2010 Dickens on the Strand
- Silver, Best TV Promotion (ad spot or PSA), 2010 Dickens on the Strand
- Silver, Best Event Program (interior 4 or more colors), 2011 Historic Homes Tour
- Bronze, Best Other Merchandise, 2011 Historic Homes Tour Note Cards
- Bronze, Best Environmental Program, Green Revival House
- Bronze, Best Event/Organization E-Newsletter
- Bronze, Best T-Shirt Design, 2010 Rebirth Revival Race
The professional competition draws entries from among the world’s top festivals and events. Winning entries came from organizations as diverse as the 500 Festival, Indianapolis, IN; Bayou City Art Festival in Houston, TX and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, Pasadena, CA. International contenders included such diverse event organizations as Ham Pyeong Butterfly Festival, South Korea; World Gourmet Summit, Singapore and the Ludwig Van Beethoven Easter Festival, Poland.
