Share Your Story Of Immigration Through Historic Galveston

We invite you to share your family’s immigration story.
Your story may be used by Galveston Historical Foundation (GHF) for projects that relate to the interpretation of immigration through the Port of Galveston from the early 19th century through the middle of the 20th century.

If you provide your contact information, we will be continue to update you as this exhibit and public art program is developed.

In order to submit your story, please accept the following terms:

Galveston Historical Foundation’s mission is to preserve and revitalize the architectural, cultural and maritime heritage of Galveston Island.  GHF is planning several projects including new exhibits and educational programs that focus on Galveston’s role as a port of entry for thousands of Americans in the 19th and 20th centuries.

We invite you to share your family’s historical immigration story.  Any information you have regarding when you or your ancestors arrived in Galveston, how they felt about their Texas experience and their story after moving on from Galveston would aid GHF in preserving and developing Galveston’s history.

By submitting your story, you retain ownership of the story, but you grant the foundation a perpetual, royalty-free license to use the story in any way and in any medium, whether now existing or later developed, and, further, you waive any rights of publicity.

To submit your story, you must be over the age of 18 and have reached the age of majority in you state of residence.
