Booksigning Friday Evening at Bishop's Palace: "City on Stilts"
On Friday, November 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Galveston Historical Foundation will host a booksigning at Bishop's Palace of "A City on Stilts," a new photographic book that chronicles the decade of rebuilding and grade raising in Galveston following the 1900 Storm.

The book is the first in a new series of Galveston history books to be published by GHF in partnership with Arcadia Press. Authors Jodi Wright-Gidley and Jennifer Marines, of the Galveston County Historical Museum, will sign copies of the book on the main floor of Bishop's Palace, located at 14th and Broadway in Galveston. Copies of the book, at 26.99 each, will be available for sale in the gift shop located in the back of Bishop's Palace on the ground level. After purchasing the books, patrons may take them up to the main level of the palace to be signed by the authors. For more information, call Galveston Historical Foundation at 409-765-7834.
